To have the very thing we desire;

What would we give in exchange; to feed the raging fire?

To be worthy of having it fullfilled;

What would we sacrifice; to feed the gaping void?

Deep in our heart lies hidden;

A map of endless needs;

Of all the traits we own;

Compassion is perhaps the hardest one to feed;

And we cannot see one another, when we are blinded by our greed.

**A dream is but a dream; this is a memory that belongs to someone who listened in his sleep.**

It was not greed that flooded his heart; for all the gold he had, he surrendered to one who needed it more.

And beauty is the mask that withers with time; but not beauty that resides in the heart. If we can see what lies beyond the surface, we'll not be fooled by a porcelain face cracked with age.

It was late in the night when she finally came for him; with an offer that is sealed by the pricking of his skin upon the thorn of a black rose.

And a blood oath was given, for the lady would accept no less.

Do not think it is his weakness she preys upon; rather it is his kindness that won him her favour. On a night where the thinning of the veil took place, they disappeared into the mist never to be seen again.

Tell me, blessed lover, is it true?
That the saviour will come for me?
He'll save me from the fire?
And he'll take me somewhere safe?

Will he dig up my ashes to carry me home?
Will he know where to find my final resting place?
Will he also tell me lies? ....The same ones you keep telling me?
And is this how I'll disappear?.... Believing in your lies?

This is how I imagine it would be like;

When somehow we become one with ourselves,

When the world no longer holds us in its iron grip;

When love and hope takes us beyond the immediate struggle;

When we see ourselves as ONE with the universe;

When the color of our skin is no longer a sin;

When we adandon our fears and adopt compassion;

When we no longer look upon each other as enemies;

But kin born of the same seed, headed towards the same destination.

Surrender

I have walked these barren lands in search of the desolate one;

I have seen cimson skies raining tears and abandoned homes stand like white-washed bone;

I have seen angels by the millions, plunging to the ground like wounded falcons;

I have seen demons walk with broken wings, telling tales of lost idols and mythical icons;

I tell you truly I have seen it all yet I have not found the elusive one;

I swear I have faithfully followed lies told to me by a hairless old crone;

All her promises made and broken three times over;

If I were you, I would never say never;

For I would gladly pay the price if I were to surrender.
